THE FAITHFUL SERVANT

...with the help of our good and gracious God, we managed to finish the building in Sivita in the beginning of December . We still have to add the heating system and buy chairs (those used at the inauguration were brought from our church).
The first meeting was wonderful and encouraging. Over 50 people (many teens) attended. Our next meeting is going to be held this week, Saturday, January 8, 2011. We hope that by the grace of God to be able to continue the ministry with greater impact. It won’t be easy but we think we will succeed.

Highlight on the ministry of a national worker in Romania: A man was lying in bed one day with a lit candle next to his head. His roommates were expecting him to die from one moment to another. I drew closer to him and ask him to squeeze my hand if he could hear me and he did. I ask him to squeeze my hand if he wanted me to pray for him (and him repeating after me) and he squeezed my hand again. I ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive him and come into his life. The man died half an hour later….

To sponsor from a pastor in Thailand: The year has been very difficult. My family experienced many health problems and I was attacked and badly injured at the base. I saw God’s hand protecting me in all of this and praise Him. I know God is good always and all the time in all situations. With all of this I was even able to go to five outreaches in the rural areas of the province, teaching basic Bible classes and discipleship, training church leaders, and teaching Traditional Religious practices. During this time God was working, revealing His powers, and doing His wonders.

Letter from a Bible teacher in Thailand to his sponsor: I believe that when you pray, God has the answer for everything. I thank the Lord for letting me be His servant. Our students have the opportunity to visit many churches in various places. We also perform all the songs that I composed. I have finished four songs that are going to be on a CD. We have worked hard on this project and it shouldn’t be too long before we finish it. Please pray for the Bible students who will be graduating this semester and for more students to apply for next semester. Also pray that everything that we do here at the Bible School is the Lord’s wishes. May the Lord give you and your family a lot of blessing.

PERSONAL TESTIMONY (Indonesia):

I was born to an unbelieving family. Christianity was a forbidden religion but God had a beautiful plan for my life. It is an amazing grace. I was attracted to a children’s program and once was ask to attend a Sunday school class but refused the invitation because I was afraid my parents would be angry with me. I was eager to attend and one day I joined them secretly. Finally my family realized that I attended classes with Christians and the situation became difficult for me. The servant of God saw the opportunity to proclaim the Gospel to my family but they rejected him. Slowly they began to hear the words of truth and think on them. We moved to the city because it was the only way to fill our daily needs that increased day by day. My family placed me in an orphanage when I was nine years old because they couldn’t afford to keep me. I was confused but at the same time happy in my heart, not knowing I was being prepared by God for the future. I am now a graduate of a Seminary and have been sent as a pastor to proclaim the Word of God. He cares for me and shows me grace as I serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Highlight on the ministry of a nation worker in Romania: Preaching the Gospel among the elderly from the Nursing Home has been a reason of great blessings and encouragement to me. One day I saw a man for the first time and started sharing about Jesus with him. The man shared the following story with me. “I grew up in a Bible believing home, was baptized and made a covenant with the Lord. In time I forsook Him, living a sinner’s life style. I lost both of my legs and got her in the nursing home and thought God had abandoned me. Then I noticed you coming here, talking with people and wondered if you would ever stop to talk with me. Now you have come and I want to repent this very moment. Seeing you now talking to me is a sign that God still loves me. Even if I have no legs and my family abandoned me, I want to thank God for His enduring patience, for not forsaking me. Will you please contact my pastor, the one who baptized me and tell him about me?”
